“The New Order“
is bachelor’s thesis which shows readers problematic between fine art and corporate tactics. Character of the work is objective view on contemporary trends in the world of advertisement in a relation to author’s material act. It observes creation of the advertisement and it’s transfiguration in to the fine art, music, radio, TV and culture as we know it. Content analyses abilities of the modern branding system, concretely used by artist himself or by popular art. Main aim is to demonstrate propaganda of a brand in to contemporary art. Practical form represents effectively used reproducible digital graphic designs into the painting.
About The Paintings
The cycle “New Order” has seven connected canvases, all of them have same dimensions: 1, 8 m x 1, 3 m and all are horizontal. With theme of the seven deadly sins I become critic of the society and I demonstrate link between contemporary painting and digital painting. This problem is also questioned in the means of the works, the contemporary situation of our civilization and the connection to the virtual worlds.
With canvases and medium I express my subjective view on all deadly sins. The message lies in the spectrum of the imagination and metaphor goes from sarcasm to narrative. Sin is not what we have taken just from a religion. It’s an attitude, a characteristic flaw. It’s not just in person behavior, but in the actions and contribution to this world. I show how much attachment is given to the sins and yet my usage of colors shows “the brightness” of this subject. Because I believe that painting has the power to attract the mind of a viewer and then make him forcefully or calmly realize ideas and think about them in the deeper corners of the ego and consciousness.
The Final Summary
To take a duty to be an artist in the 21. Century from objective point of view is a hard discipline. It is needed for a person to be educated, practical and know ways to sell and present his/her artwork. In my bachelor thesis I get use to those ways and I demonstrate them in to the painted cycle with name of “New order”. Whole work shows how strongly industry connects with classical art. This relationship can be taken positively or negatively. My job was and is researching connection between these two parts of culture. The result which I have found is more illustrated by painting then with reproduction. Digital applications and technology helped me with transforming ideas in to the canvas.
To end whole work, we can say that branding, advertisement and culture are not just observed by artistic group of people. It is observed by all costumers. Almost all humanity. Of course I am customer by myself and the civilization, changes and whole world problems are touching me. That is why I can’t stay with work of noncritical character. I have to take a road of attack and do it by the advertisement and branding itself. There are many ways to critic society my own art attack is looking to be the most philanthropic and frank. This art work mission is to show to persons they own inner problems. Not by secure concrete form, but more by their own fantasy. Image of a sin which I putted into the work is absolutely subjective. Substrate is catholic & it influences my moral standard judgment for every sin.
Absolute summary to this work is almost impossible to explain. Not from the point of measurement of this theme, nor from the possibilities it offers, but because of dynamics and exponential upgrading of technology and relationships which this two media’s has. So the ending of this thesis is on everybody’s own fantasy to see.
